About

What Is This?

It started with a 5-song Spotify playlist. Tanya sent it, Austin curated it, and somewhere along the way it just kept growing — spanning hip-hop, soul, indie, reggae, and a dozen things in between that all share one thing: that feeling. You know the one. This podcast is what happens when you stop skipping those songs and start asking why they hit.

About the Show

Accidental Vibes is a music-oriented podcast built around a simple idea: great music finds you when you least expect it. Hosts Austin and Tanya dig into songs and artists that fell completely outside their normal genre — discovered through a TikTok rabbit hole, a Spotify recommendation, or a late-night playlist deep dive — and ask the question: why does this hit so hard?

The show grew out of a Spotify playlist called “RU Vibey Like This…” — started by Tanya with just 5 songs and a challenge: curate it. That playlist just keeps growing. Each episode, Austin and Tanya work through it together, breaking down what makes each track stand out, where they found it, and why it deserves a spot in your rotation.

The mission is simple: this show is your gateway to artists and music you would never have stumbled across on your own. Consider it your musical blind spot — fixed.

Meet the Hosts

Austin - Co-host of Accidental Vibes

Austin

Probably found it from a random algorithm spiral at 2am.

Austin is a married father of two daughters based out of Florida. He has been deep in the Reggae Rock scene since Sublime first hit his ears in 1990 — and he hasn’t looked back since. An avid concert-goer with hundreds of live shows under his belt, Austin regularly hits the road with his wife and sister Tanya to catch their favorite artists. Over the years he’s built genuine friendships with a number of musicians in the genre, and hopes to bring some of those voices onto the podcast as it grows.

Tanya - Co-host of Accidental Vibes

Tanya

Can identify a vibe before the beat even drops.

Tanya is the co-host, collaborator, and the person who started it all. When she handed Austin a 5-song Spotify playlist and said “keep going,” she set everything in motion. Her ear for music that doesn’t fit neatly into any one box is exactly what gives Accidental Vibes its name — and its direction.
